Greenside, Johannesburg - 1944
This is such a precious photo as Lilian and myself were dressed in our Sunday best we always only had one special dress. It must have been just after Anita’s birth as my mother is wearing her flower robe. The photo was taken in our house in Greenside, Johannesburg. On top of the mantelpiece behind us is a clock that was a wedding present my parents received as well as two vases they were the ugliest vases I have ever seen. Of course my father was the photographer.
